OUR CHURCH HISTORY
Our Pinelands Church began to hold services in December of 1977 in a storefront known as the Shehadi Building. Soon, however, property was bought and the first services in a new sanctuary at our present location were held in June of 1984. Growth was rapid and a larger sanctuary was soon needed. The present worship center was completed and dedicated in 1991.
Our God calls us to respond to new situations in new ways and with new ideas. We are open to new insights as they serve the purposes of the Kingdom of God. We are eager to move forward to meet the needs of our age. Come and grow with us in faith and witness as we worship and serve the community.
Our Mission, as God’s people, is to demonstrate the transforming power of God’s love in Jesus Christ through our worship and service.
The Pinelands Church is a diverse people committed to share the love of God that they have found in Jesus Christ.
The Pinelands Church is a warm and open fellowship organized to worship God, to nurture Christians, and to provide opportunities for growth in faith, witness and service.
The Pinelands Church is a Christian congregation belonging to the Reformed Church in America, the oldest Protestant Church in the United States with a continuous ministry.
Our faith is Biblical in that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are our final authority as the Word of God.
Our faith is historic in that the standards of worship, theology, and government are products of the 16th century, and that the Pinelands Church is a member congregation of the Reformed Church in America which held its first worship service in America as the “Dutch Reformed Church” in the colony of New Amsterdam in April of 1628.
The people of the Pinelands Church invite you to join them in worship, fellowship and service.
You are also invited to take part in our Bible Class, support and fellowship groups that meet on a regular basis at the church.
We hope to continue to grow by welcoming newcomers into our fellowship of friends!
